Do you ever wake up in the morning, exhausted and wishing you could stay in bed for at least another hour? And I’m not just talking about a “case of the Monday’s”. A reduction in energy levels can have serious effects on your everyday life. If you have been overly tired recently, it may be due to a number of causes. Diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, dehydration, poor diet, and inactivity can all lead to serious energy depletion.

According to WebMD, things you can do to improve your energy levels:

  • Drink more water—make sure you stay hydrated by drinking at least eight 8 oz. glasses
  • Decrease your caffeine intake—too much caffeine can keep you up at night or give you poor sleep patterns
  • Get checked for diabetes—high levels of sugar remain in the bloodstream rather than being turned into energy resulting in constant, unexplained fatigue, check with your medical professional regarding the possibility of diabetes
  • Get checked for heart disease—if daily activities you once found easy now quickly tire you it could be a sign of heart disease, talk to your healthcare provider regarding a checkup
  • Improve your diet—eating foods that are low in nutritional value can result in high fatigue, eat a balanced diet to keep your blood sugar at a normal rate and your energy levels can naturally increase
  • Exercise—if you regularly do not exercise, add at least 20 minutes of mild to moderate exercise 3-5 times a week to help fight fatigue
  • Sleep 7-8 hours a night—adults who get a full night’s rest generally have higher energy levels than those who sleep less than 7 hours a night

Other reasons for fatigue could be depression, anemia, sleep apnea, hypothyroidism, urinary tract infections, fibromyalgia, or food allergies.

Long, unexplained periods of fatigue should be discussed with your health care professional. Serious energy depletion can take a toll on your physical and mental health. If left untreated, fatigue due to inactivity, poor diet, or dehydration can lead to much more serious health concerns.

Oral Chelation Therapy

Chelation therapy can also be used to help treat fatigue due to heart disease, diabetes, or other poor physical health reasons. Chelation therapy opens your arteries by chelating (removing) heavy metals, toxins, and plaque from your blood stream. This results in healthy blood flow delivering rich nutrients and oxygen throughout your entire body.
